Salem State University Campus Bookstore
A former campus cafeteria turned into the university's bookstore.
Salem State moved its bookstore into a former cafeteria, and MCC made the conversion: the old dining space opened up into one bright retail floor under the existing clerestory windows, with new walls, finishes, lighting and power for the displays and registers.
The work was sequenced around a busy student center that stayed open the whole time.
