We stripped the 1930s building to its original block while emergency dispatchers stayed on the air. Police, fire, EMS and DPW radios stayed live through every phase of construction, and the fire alarm box system kept reporting.
Demolition, framing, MEP rough and finishes were scheduled around shift changes, with temporary partitions, dust control and acoustic isolation, so no call went unanswered. The Office of Emergency Management signed off on every phase transition, and our superintendent coordinated daily with the dispatch lead.
