Michael Massey

Michael founded Massey Construction Corp. in 1996 and built it from the ground up, wearing every hat from estimator to superintendent to bookkeeper. He started as a carpenter's apprentice at Massey Plumbing & Heating, the business his grandfather opened in Swampscott in 1931, then spent a decade estimating and managing commercial work for Boston general contractors before starting his own firm. He earned DCAMM certification in MCC's first year.

His meticulous approach set the standard MCC still works to. Michael has always done business on a handshake and put relationships first, and the trade partners who have built beside MCC for decades are there because of how he treated them.

In 2025 he handed day-to-day leadership to Justin. As Founder and CFO he guides the firm's financial stewardship and strategic direction, is at the table for every contract signing, and still answers the phone at any hour, for any project.
