Project Manager

MCC is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a project manager. The role of the project manager (PM) is to oversee and coordinate all construction operations throughout an entire commercial construction project. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, property owners, subcontractors, and vendors. The project manager reviews budgets, creates schedules, negotiates and issues contracts, and has oversight of all construction performance, quality, and progress.

Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities:

  • Prepare trade buyout packages defining scopes of work.

  • Negotiate and issue contracts and purchase orders.

  • Schedule all phases of the project working with field supervisors, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Prepare, review, and submit submittals and shop drawings.

  • Create, issue, and track Requests for Information (RFI’s).

  • Price and produce change order proposals.

  • Monitor all construction costs and manage requisitions and payments to contractors and vendors.

  • Lead weekly project progress meetings.

  • Prepare and deliver all project closeout documents, warranties, as-built drawings, and trainings to the owner.

Qualifications / Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ Years Commercial Construction Experience

  • MA Construction Supervisors License holder preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to read & understand construction documents

  • Interpret and build according to plans and specifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Word

  • Experience with Bluebeam / Construction plan viewing software preferred

  • Attention to detail coupled with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Organizational skills; self-motivated, independent work ethic

  • Ability to handle and resolve conflicts in an efficient and timely manner

Assistant Project Manager

MCC is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an assistant project manager.  The role of the assistant project manager (APM) is to assist in managing and coordinating all construction operations throughout an entire commercial construction project. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, property owners, subcontractors, and vendors. The assistant project manager will work directly with a senior project manager reviewing budgets, creating schedules, negotiating and issuing contracts, and overseeing all construction performance, quality, and progress.

CONSTRUCTION INTERNSHIP

MCC is seeking motivated individuals with a passion for building and a hunger to learn. Candidates should be energetic, ambitious and have some knowledge of construction operations. This is a great position for someone looking to break into and grow in the construction field.

The role is hands on and will work directly with both office and field teams supporting all phases of commercial construction projects. This includes collaborating with architects, engineers, property owners, subcontractors, and vendors.

Responsibilities

Project Management Support

Working with the project management team, you will review budgets, create schedules, negotiate and issue contracts, and oversee all construction performance, quality, and progress.

Items Include:

  • Reading construction drawings and specification manuals

  • Negotiating and issuing contracts and purchase orders

  • Scheduling phases of a project

  • Preparing, and reviewing product submittals and shop drawings

  • Creating and tracking Requests for Information (RFI’s)

  • Pricing change order proposals

  • Monitoring construction costs and requisitions

  • Sitting in on weekly project progress meetings

  • Preparing and delivering project closeout documents, warranties, as-built drawings

Estimating Support

Working with the estimating team, you will source projects and help build estimates.

Items include:

  • Reading construction drawings and specification manuals

  • Completing quantity takeoffs

  • Sourcing vendors and contractors

  • Preparing trade buyout packages defining scopes of work

Field Support

Working with our on-site construction teams, you will monitor site activities and help to coordinate and schedule phases of projects

Items include:

  • Reading construction drawings and specification manuals

  • Overseeing subcontractor daily operations

  • Creating schedules

  • Coordinating required inspections with local jurisdictions

  • Maintaining a daily log of personnel and activities on the jobsite
